Our family had a delightful lunch at Barcelos on Sarcee Trail branch! The chicken was absolutely flavorful and cooked to perfection—it truly stood out as the highlight of our meal. Beyond the delicious food, what made the experience even more memorable was the incredible staff. They were exceptionally nice, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. Thank you to the team at Barcelos for a fantastic meal and warm hospitality. What a wonderful find! Nice, clean restaurant that when you walk in you are greeted with a friendly smile. The food is incredible and came out very quickly. The owner came out to chat and was such a nice man. Convenient location and great value for your money. You will not leave hungry. Easy five stars to support a family owned business.
We were completely surprised with everything inside here. Honestly, I had expected this to be a sort of shawarma/subway style place, but it was more of a casual dining style restaurant blended with a shawarma style place. The flavors were unique, and everyone was very polite. I'll admit I was a bit apprehensive with all the signage about no public bathrooms and limiting your stay to 45 minutes, but everyone inside was much more personable than I had anticipated despite this.

We recently visited and ordered a 1/4 chicken thigh, strip sirloin burger, and the fiesta bowl, along with two desserts: Oreo ice cream cake and coconut ice cream—and wow, what an experience! The chicken thigh was juicy and packed with smoky, charred flavor, clearly marinated to perfection. The strip sirloin burger was a standout—tender, well-seasoned, and bursting with bold flavors. The fiesta bowl was a fresh, well-balanced dish that complemented the meal perfectly. Dessert was just as impressive. The Oreo ice cream cake was rich and indulgent, while the coconut ice cream was creamy and refreshing—a perfect way to end the meal. Beyond the amazing food, what made the experience even more special was the incredible owners. Their passion for their craft truly shines through in every dish. They genuinely love what they do, and it reflects in both the flavors and the warm hospitality. This was our first visit, but definitely not our last! It’s our family favorite restaurant recently. Lunch special is a must try one. Easy parking, clean and quiet environment, delicious and fresh food with quickly serving. Everything is just perfect! Plus the lady owner is always always always super warm and friendly, we just feel like at home all the time.
Excellent service, the chicken was so tender and delicious. All staff were very friendly. They gave us good recommandations on their menu. We will definitely be coming back!!!
